Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v (Íhmiew /i̘v/ [array] [glass]) is a subtropical Town located in Redhedge Dutchy, Fidhi̊si Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v was founded by Kliggel Edwardd Llywell Āko, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Overview

Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v was founded durring the late 20th century in late summer of the year 1959, by Kliggel Edwardd Llywell Āko. The establishment of Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v's construction back out of the project. Kliggel Edwardd Llywell Āko pushed on reguardles, and Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 20th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive baked earthen streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v's failry decent fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Cultural Notes

Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v's locals are divided into several castes. They may be organized by social role, by imputed nobility of birth, by ethnic origins, or any other dividing principle, but they cannot imagine any other way of organizing themselves. A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its fluid and florid elaborate style, comprising ornate, asymmetric designs and pastel shades. It is often considered to be a playful, light style, which made exuberant use of curves and emphasized subtle asymmetry in the general shape of its structures. Walls, ceilings and moldings are decorated with numerous interlacing of curves and counter-curves based on the shapes of ‘C’ and ‘S’, along with shell forms and other naturalistic shapes.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the Sodugija Heath was struck by a drought when Lake Nasser grew too small to continue feeding Backwater Turraine, which reduced the available water supply nationwide, but was especially harsh in the area arround Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v. As the neighboring regions had no water so spare, Odíhg Íhmiewi̊v lost 117 people, and 214 livestock in the disaster.. The drought lasted for 1 weeks, which are remembered as the Terror Thirst.
